Designed to maximize your PV array capacity, this controller accepts a Maximum Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) of 230V. This high-voltage input allows for greater flexibility in solar panel configurations.
Panel Configuration Example: If your solar panels have a Vmp (Maximum Power Voltage) of 38–42V, you can safely connect up to 4 panels in series.
Step-Down Charging: This controller supports high-voltage charging for low-voltage batteries. You can use a 230V solar array to charge a 12V battery system without issue.
To prevent permanent damage to the controller, ensure that the total Voc of your solar array NEVER exceeds 230V, especially in cold weather conditions where voltage rises. Exceeding this limit will void the warranty and destroy the unit.
