There are 3 gears inside the pencil, and the middle gear is connected to the lead. Longitudinal movement by pen pressure that produces color when writing. It meshes obliquely with the other 2 gears, causing the lead core of the intermediate gear to drive the pen tip to rotate slightly each time the pen is dropped. Each rotation is about 18*20 strokes to complete one rotation.
