Average contact time on wine: 4-6 months. (This is all dependent on the desired oak taste. Once the chips have been soaking for 2 months, taste regularly and constantly monitor to obtain the desired taste. Be careful not to over oak)
Helpful Hint: Always leave some of your wine unoaked for blending in case the wine becomes over oaked
